Scotland is the home of private plates
In an article on the BBC's website today it is revealed that the area of the country where private plates are most popular is Scotland.
Elephant.co.uk is quoted as the source of the information and their survey revealed that of the top 20 postcodes, eight are Scottish
Fintry, Killearn and Strathblane are quoted as the villages were the plates are most popular with over 14% of vehicles sporting them.
The same survey revealed that the top professions for private plate owners are care-home owners and government chief officers.
The area of the country where they are least popular is the Grimsby Docks area.
